What’s Actually Happening at Jaobvent
I’ve been to three Jaobvent events. This year feels different.
The main stage runs all day. League of Legends, Street Fighter 6, and Minecraft speedrun tournaments. No qualifiers.
Just show up, sign in at the booth near the food trucks, and play. Prizes? Cash.
Not gift cards. Real money. (Yes, it’s weirdly rare.)
Free-play zones are scattered everywhere. No wristband needed. You grab a controller, sit down, and try the unreleased indie RPG Cinder & Chain.
Or just beat up bots in Overwatch 2’s new map. No lines. No gatekeeping.
